Is the panel folder required?

Hi, i’m currently building a personal kirby website and was wondering if the panel folder is required on the server?
my setup works like this:

Local XAMPP → Github → Server

Now I edit all my files and back-end panel stuff on my Local XAMPP and never on the live server.
Is the panel folder required on the live server for kirby to function properly?

No, you can delete it/not push it to the server if you don’t need it.
