Hey there!
Working on my first Kirby project. I’ve started working with the plain kit and so for so good. I’ve been able to create some templates, blueprints and snippets, however… only on localhost.
When I upload the Kirby folder to my shared webspace and open my domain.com/panel, I’m greeted with an error.
This page is currently offline due to an unexpected error. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and will fix it as soon as possible.
However, on my machine, it works.
I’m pretty sure I’ve overlooked something.
Greetings from Southern Germany!
Flo
PS: the starterkit works after being uploaded to the web space.
Hm, you should enable debug mode in /site/config/config.php to see the error or check the PHP error logs on the server. If the Starterkit works, the server seems to meet the requirements.
Perfect, thank you! I did that and was able to sort out the problem. The media folder was not writable. I fixed that and now everything worked.
Thanks so much! I’m really enjoying Kirby so far.
I’m trying to list my blog posts by their Date-Field rather than a pure list like in the cookbook. Is there an example in the docs about that? I’m struggling to achieve this goal.
This is a different topic obviously but maybe a simple link is enough, otherwise I will open a new topic.
Also thank you for being supportive although the question might seem “stupid”. I have experience with Static Site Generators like Jekyll etc and CSS/HTML knowledge but I’ve never used PHP so far so enabling debug wasn’t intuitive for me
