Textarea inside editor

Hi!

Is it possible to have a regular textarea field inside the new editor?

The goal would be that users can just copy paste long text from other applications (Word/e-mail) into the editor and easily change parts of the pasted text to a headline, instead of creating a new headline block and then a new textblock and then a new headline block and then a new textblock etc., individually.

Or maybe there’s a simple possibility to have a headline-option inside the black popup when selecting a text in the text-block?

Also: is it possible to hide certain other options inside the black popup (like only show bold and link)?

Thanks for your nice work!

You can add a Kirbytext block, it behaves like a markdown field. Or convert Word to Markdown and import.

But markdown is not really what the regular 55-year old, non-digital-native user uses.
I’m looking for a solution with a good workflow, like copy text from word -> pasting it into the editor -> select text -> mark as headline.
(See mockup-screenshot).

Is that somehow possible with the new editor?

(Repeatedly creating a headline block then a text block etc. is very much susceptible to copy-paste-errors.)

You can select text and then click on the arrow on the left and select “turn into” whatever.
