Logins blocked, suggested fix not working

Hi all - tried guessing a password one too many times to get into the panel it seems, and now I have this message ‘Logins are currently blocked. Try again or contact your administrator.’.

The forum says this can be solved by removing the ‘.login’ file from the ‘site/accounts’ directory, but no such file is there (i can see invisible files with the . prefix). Any ideas?

I normally move all the login files out the way/back them up, so no accounts exist, then setup the admin user again, and then move all the other accounts back.

i guess it could be session related. Did you flush your browser cache / delete sessions in the browser console?
