Problem with sorting pages

Hi,

We have a problem with file-sorting in one folder: I want to move the position of page with the folder-number 1011 to the end, 1027. Then I get the error “Error: The page directory cannot be moved“, but the page has still moved to 1027, but the pages in between, 1012 to 1027, don’t adjust their numbers, so there are now 2 pages with the folder-number 1027 and none with 1011.

In another folder of the same instance sorting is working fine, so the problem only shows in this one folder.

Any idea what could be the reason? I hope it has nothing to do with the number of pages in this folder (>1.000).

Hm, are you sure there were no duplicate numbers before the sorting, which would then mess it up? The other reason why this might happen is if the server is too slow or does not have enough memory.

Thanks for the hint! After manually checking the numbers, I found some double numbers indeed. And after fixing them the problem was solved.

Any idea what could have caused the problem? We usually don’t touch the numbers, so I have no clue why there were double numbers …
