Made with Kirby and <3

Last month, we (https://studiohumm.com) launched County Highway, an “online archive” for a newspaper printed and sold in the US. Designed by Pentagram in New York, I built the site, integrated Snipcart for e-commerce and Shopify for subscriptions and gated content.

Just relaunched the portfolio website for our agencies’s production unit on Kirby.

We optimized heavily for performance while still implementing some nice frontend goodies via custom web components.

It’s fully accessible via keyboard navigation and assistive technology, by the way, and we automatically reduce transparency, reduce motion or increase contrast depending on a system’s accessibility settings.

It’s also featured on kirbysites.com if you’re interested in the content architecture and panel structure.

Graphic Design Portfolio with Kirby 4

We just rebranded our design studio Büro Spreng based in Basel, Switzerland.
For the Website we worked with Kirby 4 and had a lot of fun with creating dynamic yet systematic layouts with the layout block editor

Pretty large project done with Kirby 4

In total almost 600 pages and nearly 500 hundred products.

Migrated from Shopware to Kirby, and with fully functional eCommerce:

  • Synced product price, stock, and weight from remote warehouse ERP database
  • Product variations are actually different products so in total there is more than 3 thousand products
  • Advanced Snipcart integration with JSON API validation
  • All kinds of “small” shop/product functions create almost full automation, so company staff only need to work with their ERP system to influence website data

You can check out an example product, all product data is from the database

And yes, to answer those who will notice, it is our Zero One theme as a base, but heavily extended using an override system so still updatable to new Zero One versions.

Amazing design, great job! But the site is super slow on my device, probably due to the images sizes. Once I click on a project, I can’t scroll inside

I wanted to share a small project I’ve been working on: Balkonhörnchen. It’s a fan site dedicated to squirrels, where I share photos, write blog posts, and even offer a calendar featuring these cute little creatures.

The site is built with Kirby, and it’s been a nice way to combine my love for squirrels with a bit of creativity.

Launched this yesterday: https://bservice.gmbh/
You wouldn’t believe how long it took, to get it over the finish line—especially for such a standard-issue project.
Still quite happy with the outcome.
For context: b. Service is active in the bookshop landscape, buying stores, that would otherwise perish and thus trying to keep such local offerings running and sustainable. They grow by like one shop a year.

 Great site!
Your drawing style is top notch, too!

We recently rebranded our agency website and switched from Wordpress to Kirby.
Hopefully, many Kirby projects will follow

I was part of a fellowship by Media Lab Bavaria and built my project’s landing page over the last few weeks with kirby. The next step is writing some more articles and finishing the portfolio website around the landing page.

Thanks so much to everyone who is always so kind helping here in the forum and providing the community with plugins. This was my fifth or so kirby project, first time posting here.

Hi all,

I want to share one of my pro-bono projects with you: https://tedxpotsdam.de/

Next week, TEDxPotsdam will take place for the 5th time, giving people with ideas worth spreading from the Berlin/Brandenburg region a stage. Everything is financed without profit through ticket prices and sponsors – also by Kirby (big thanks!) :tada:

I’ve been part of the team for three years now and the homepage is one of my responsibilities. Organizing an event like this only with volunteers is always challenging at times, but a successful evening with lots of valuable input, happy faces and new contacts is well worth it!

Yay, my portfolio larastumpf.de is online and today I started my new job in Berlin! :tada: It was a great pleasure to develop my portfolio with Kirby. I started the first version of my portfolio with Kirby at least 7 years ago and I simply love how it has been evolving.

Now I just need to find a flat in Berlin … so if you know about anything … let me know.

So, this finally went live after way too much time: https://titelschutz.buchmarkt.de/
(Doesn’t look like it, does it? :grimacing:)
It is a service for legally securing book titles (for six months from the date of posting). Thus having some legal leverage, should someone else publish a book with the same title within that timeframe.
