I made a kickstarter campaign to sell cool patches and stickers for internet workers, and 1 year after the campaign success I made this ecommerce site with kirby 3 + Snipcart for the ecommerce part.
All went really smooth (just minor questions solved in the minute by @texnixe in this forum, thank you so much!) and the new panel is great, modular and highly customizable.
I’m a designer and having a tool to launch a multilingual e-commerce website in 1 week of work is truly amazing. I’ll gladly let a review or testimonial if needed!
Without further ado, you can see and test the result on cyberspace.builders!
This is really nice, but unfortunately doesnt work with browsers that block insecure content. Your site is running on HTTPS but all your internal URLs are HTTP. The stylesheet wont load.
Haha thank you, I was panicking on my smartphone far from home trying to figure out the issue, because I recalled having checking this and nobody else found this error
Yes, thats a known issue; I had to remove my force SSL rule last week while the client edit their firmware updates setup (for their own technology, no link with Kirby). They can’t process with SSL request.
Since the cache is turn on on the site, the was probably cached with https request. I emptied the cache and force non-ssl while they update their setup since it may take another week to fix on their side.
And this brings me to a potential issue since js() and css() helpers doesnt output protocol-free url //example.com it causes that kind of broken links with cross-origin vs cache.
The site is on K3, so no SSL settings available. But the issue is not there; the client have IOT devices that communicate with the server to get updates. The client old site wasnt SSL wise so their system isnt build (yet) to work with SSL request (dont ask why).
I had to remove my force-ssl rule (htaccess) while they fix that issue, in the meanwhile the site was cached with https:// url in the , add Chrome blocking cross-origin file and your get troubles!
