I’m getting a 404 on just the /panel for my site

I’ve included the default .htaccess in the site’s directory, and changed the server’s Allow Override to All, yet I continue to get a 404 on just the /panel when it redirects to /panel/login. Any ideas on what I’ve left out?

It seems like mod_rewrite is not enabled in your Apache configuration.

Thanks lukas, turns out I had to reboot the server for the change to take effect
