I just bought a license for my project - I activated my local copy and one instance on a dev server - I probably should have asked this before activating anything, but can I activate my production site as well?
At the end of the day, I only want to use it on a single public-facing site, but technically I was going to have it living on two domains while I wrap up some of the work.
You don’t have to activate it in your dev environment. But it should be OK if you activate your license again on the remote server, as long as you don’t activate it for multiple domains.
Does Kirby detect subdomains automatically? The current active license is at “sub.domain.com” - the production site will live at “domain.com.”
Yes, the license server stores the (sub)domain. But it shouldn’t be a problem if you only change it once or twice.
