Web designer abandoned job -help

I’m having an issue getting my material from test site to actual site.

I hired a web designer to build me a website. She didn’t finish the job, and I already paid. I’m on a deadline and a little concerned.

I own the domain, let’s call it xyz.com. That has a placeholder image right now. I don’t know how to access it.
Everything that should go there is on test.xyz.com. I have access to this through my kirby panel log in.

I have hosting (and the domain) through godaddy.

I was advised that I need access to the server or hosting panel of your hosting package.

I don’t know how or what to do then, as I am an absolute beginner (hence why I had hired someone).

Can anybody help, please?

But you do have the credentials for your web space?

Does that mean proof that I own the domain and copyright to the images and text? Yes.

No, I meant if you have access to your webspace control panel, so you can download the website to your computer, make changes and upload again.

I’m not familiar with Godaddy, but usually once you have logged in to your account, you get to a dashboard from which you can control lots of things and also access the webspace itself through a sort of file browser.

I have access to the test site’s kirby panel. I don’t know where to find it on godaddy.

Access to the Kirby Panel doesn’t help here. You need access to your Godaddy hosting account. If that is your account, i.e. you have a contract with them, you should have the credentials to access your customer account.

If the test site that you need is not hosted on Godaddy, then I don’t know how we can help.

Then you have to ask the designer who created your site to send you the files.

Thank you. I will get in touch with the godaddy customer support to figure that out.
