Using Kirby on a Windows Server

Hi all, hope everyone is reading this. So my query is, can Kirby be installed on a Windows run server? or does it have to be Linux/Ubantu based

It’s not officially supported, but as far as I know, there are people out there who are actually using it under Windows server.

For servers not officially supported, you have to set the server option in your config though: servers | Kirby CMS

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly, so effectively I can technically add the windows server onto that list it hypothetically it should work?

Since I have never done this, I don’t know if it works out of the box with that setting enabled or if you need to make any other configuration changes (see the other requirements). All I could find was a user who got the frontend to run without issues, but I don’t know if the issues he faced was solved or not:
