Sort images greater than 20 in Panel

My client has very large photo galleries and need to manually sort the photos.
However, Kirbys pagination prevents him from dragging pictures from one page to another.
I know I can switch off pagination, but this increases the load time of the Panel page dramatically.

Is there a more elegant solution Iā€™m missing here?
