Remove translated version(s) of a page

I’m running into a situation where clients are duplicating existing pages and editing the content, rather than creating new pages. If the site uses multiple languages this can be a frustrating experience, because there is no easy way for the secondary language to reflect the new page content (since it is locked to an already-translated copy). What I’m wondering is, would there be a way to ‘refresh’ the translation(s)? Some method that simply empties out the .txt file in question? That way the content would at least fall back to the new page’s data (albeit in the wrong language).

I’m happy to make this into some plugin but perhaps something exists already?

You can use a hook that reacts on page duplicate, inside that hook, delete the translation file.
