Related Pages blueprint not working

Hi, I’m trying to use the pages field in a page blueprint (so that I can select a different - already published - page in the Panel that I wish to re-use content from):

      pages:
        type: pages
        label: Select an item
        search: false

But the only option I get in the Panel is to create a new page, not select one, am I doing something wrong or does this work differently in Kirby 4? Thanks in advance for any help.

You are probably using a pages section instead of a pages field, unfortunately you only provided a very short snippet of your blueprint, where the context is not clear.
