Problems with glyphencoding

Hi,
I have an problem with an website which is using the font Ubuntu.
On this I have an problem with some glyphs to use.
The en-dash is displaying as an ẁ and a › will be replaced as ⁸ .
The encoding of the website is set to UTF-8.

<meta charset="UTF-8">

Have anybody an idea whats going wrong there?

To set the charset to ISO-8859-1 solved te problem. Hopfully that I don’get any problems with my iconfont on iso.
