Nested List in structure field

Is there a reason why nested lists don’t work in a structure field? In normal text fields there is no problem to create nested lists with either a tab or 4 spaces.
But the structure field strips away all tabs and spaces. So if I save the page and reopen the structure field content all spaces and tabs are gone.
As workaround: I can add them directly in the txt file, but so am not able to make any changes in the panel.

I’m working on kirby 2.5.8.

Yes, this is not possible. See this thread for a possible workaround: Prevent Kirby from trimming whitespace
