Hi, why doesn’t kirbytext() encode German Umlaut (ä/ö/ü) to html entities (ä/ö/ü)? Is this not necessary in HTML5 or can I switch this on somehow? When instead using something like ->html()->kirbytext() it will mess up <a>s that contain an Umlaut, since kirbytext() does encode them…

It is not necessary to encode umlauts if you set character encoding to utf-8 in your document head.
