Hiya Kirby’s, i just wanted to hear what you think about the Kirby Documentation in Different Languages like Spanish or German or Italy. maybe that is a good idea? Do you think its Helpfull or not so?

While it’s a nice idea, I don’t think it’s feasible. Think about how much time it would take and effort it would be to translate newly added documentation.

I agree with @lukasbestle, translating documentation is a never-ending work.
It’s hard enough to keep track of all the current features in the English documentation; it would not make sense to do all that in many different languages.
Removed, because some people can see it as inappropriate humor.
You probably need more support with this kind of translation then reading the English documentation from the start.

@1n3JgKl9pQ6cUMrW, I think that the humor you used here is a bit inappropriate. It’s one thing to have an opinion, another when it can become offensive to the person who shares his.
@thesmithy, it’s hard to manage documentation. There is already so much that needs to be improved in the english documentation before any effort can be undertaken to translate it to different languages. I can absolutely understand the overwhelming feeling of reading documentation in a language that is not yours to begin with.
However, reading documentation on the internet is a fantastic way to improve your language skills. Most of the documentation available is in English (although there is a growing Chinese open-source movement with Chinese documentation only…) and I can only encourage you to keep on trying to improve your understanding of English this way. If you ever feel stuck, there is a great community that’s here to help you out!
