I am absolutely blown away by this novel way of working—specifically, this combination of tools. Cursor was learning Kirby in 5 minutes. As a reasonably experienced Kirby developer, you can become incredibly fast, since the AI handles all the tedious grunt work, freeing you up to channel that newfound time into creativity on a whole new level.
Coding—at least partially—using everyday human language. It’s mind-blowing!
I’ve been working with computers since 1989, so naturally, I place the utmost importance on solid foundational knowledge. That is the only way to truly stand behind the work you produce.
try giving it access to my kirby mcp server. That combi might yield even better results. ![]()
That sounds very nice. I’ll try! Is there a chance to use it for older Kirby3 Projects on php earlier than 8.2?
None. But if you want to upgrade a project scaffold a new K5 one and ask it to migrate the old K3/K4 from your local folder.
True, which is why I still try to avoid using any “AI helpers” for any code I write. I’ve been working with computers since 1996, but I have a reasonable amount of experience with 60s and 70s software. Simplicity is important, and from what I have seen so far, “AI” just can’t do that.
(Also, I’m not sure if any code I could ever write in my life will save humanity enough to rectify the economical and ecological cost.)
