K4 programatically update disabled field

In k3 it is not possible to programmatically update a disabled field, see here

…is that still the case for k4?

I need to show a sort of playlist to the user in the panel. A list of artist, trackname, duration, in a particular order, in a non-editable form.

I wanted to use a disabled list field, or similar.

Any suggestion in case the answer to my first question is ‘no’ ?

This should actually work now with the impersonated almighty kirby user.
