Is it possible to use a SVG favicon?

I remember Kirby does not like SVG. But is it possible to use a SVG favicon?

Should I upload the SVG favicon or just move it into to assets/images?

If it helps i use this to generate the favicons and store them in the assets folder rather then uploading through the panel
