Custom toolbar elements & buttons right next to the search icon…

Hi,

Is there any way to add some custom elements to the panel‘s toolbar?

I want to add a cache busting button right at the toolbar and some other information that should be visible on any panel view. I know that I could create a section or field plugin to achieve that, but it makes more sense to me to display these information or buttons always at the same spot on the panel regardless of the current view / template that is displayed.

I would expect that it is possible to extend the default toolbar, similar to what this plugin enhanced-toolbar-link-dialog/index.js at main · gearsdigital/enhanced-toolbar-link-dialog · GitHub does with the link dialog. But not tested.
