I tried getting content to be edited within the panel that resides in a database. Therefore I followed the guide https://getkirby.com/docs/guide/content/publishing-workflow
If I now change the content of a field it is immediately undone by the panel and the changes are not stored. (I can add new comments by the way).
Is that a problem with content locking?

Yes, there’s a plugin though that you can use that disables content locking until that’s fixed.
