Update Kirby 3.5.x to 3.10.x

I have a few older Kirby websites in use, which are still running with version 3.5.x, and which I would now like to update to the latest 3 version (3.10.0.1). As far as the plugins are concerned, only “autoresize” (2.1.4) and “focus” (3.0.9) are in use, which also work without errors in newer projects with Kirby 3.10.x.

Which steps are recommended or which intermediate steps are necessary to bring a site with Kirby 3.5.x to 3.10.x? I look forward to information, instructions and tips on this.

If you don’t want to do it on a “Let’s see what happens and then fix”, which requires that you understand PHP error messages and know how to fix them, then I’d go through each of the changelogs and look at the breaking changes.

Worth taking into account is the switch to 3.8 with the introduction of UUIDs.
