"translate: false" with language specific hint

With translate: false I can lock fields in the panel in additional languages. This can be confusing for some customers if some input fields are locked in the additional languages.

Is there any way to create a label or help text in the blueprint to inform the user about this? A note, such as “Entries can only be edited in the German version, as the values are valid across languages.” would be informative.

This hint should then also only be displayed in the additional languages. In the main language, this information would also be confusing and superfluous.

I stumbled upon the same question. The following worked for me.

Create a custom page method:

Kirby::plugin('yourname/yourplugin', [
    'pageMethods' => [
        'isDefaultLanguage' => function () {
            return $this->url() === $this->url($this->kirby()->defaultLanguage()->code());
        }
    ]
]);

In the blueprint you can then use something like this:

help: "{{ page.isDefaultLanguage ? '' : 'Your hint for not default languages' }}"
