Thumbnails are not loaded after image importation

Hello,
I had a similar issue but removing the plugins helped last time.
I also deleted the media folder, I have no plugins installed right now.
But I’m facing an issue:
As soon as I create a new project, and upload an image, the image thumbnail is not created.
As I click on it to edit it’s infos, it’s the same, nothing is loaded and it shows me a [?].

It’s the same on the frontend, it needs several reloads before the image is able to load and be displayed.

I’m using XAMMP on a MAC, it also doesn’t work on the webiste I’m hosting online.
Using Kirby 3.7 (congrats! I love the slight redesign) and php 8.
The images seems to be loaded because it gives me error 200.

On the admin panel main page I have a list of all my projects,
but for the ones I added recently, it shows again the missing file icon

Someone suggested that this could be a thumb creation issue or broken…
Actually it doesn’t do that on the starter kit, as soon as I upload an image even a big one, the thumbnail appears immediately.

I found some similar issues on the forum but none seemed to have been solved, so I’m asking there again, kind of desperately.

Hm, if the starterkit works in the same environment and you have removed all custom code, then I think we should have a look at your config file?

Alright, after some reverse engeneering & playing the 7 differences game, my index.php was :

 <?php
require 'kirby/bootstrap.php';
echo (new Kirby)->render();

while should have been :

<?php

require __DIR__ . '/kirby/bootstrap.php';

echo (new Kirby)->render();
