Text input from one field becomes default text of the other one?

Hi,

Is there an established way to link two text fields together, so a text input from one field becomes default text of the other one?

Just like how the URL appendix field is updated as you type on the Title field when you add a new page.

I haven’t seen one. My best guess is to build a plugin for this that has this functionality.
