Option queries in site settings

Hello,

I try to use the option queries (like here: https://getkirby.com/docs/cheatsheet/panel-fields/select) on the site options page.

(for example, I would like to list all the images uploaded via the site options)

but this is not working: the select element is displayed in the panel but the files which are uploaded on the page settings are not visible.

Is there a way to make this work?

Here is an example:
