I was wondering if there is a way to move sub pages from one parent to another using the Kirby panel. I know this can be done my moving the folders around but it would be nicer to be able to us the UI.
No, this is not possible out of the box. You could, however, create your own custom field for that purpose.

Great, thanks! Making a custom field might indeed be the best solution.
With a custom field for your own purposes you won’t at least have the problem of having to care about all possible ifs and edge cases.
