MAMP 7 has problem creating media folder

Hi
I’m using MAMP (both on Intel and Apple silicon). With version 6.9 everything worked fine.
Now, I upgraded to version 7 (resp. 7.1) and a very strange problem appeared: Kirby can no longer create the media folder’s content. E.g. with the StarterKit.
Has anybody came across that problem as well? (Can somebody else reproduce it?)
Does anybody have any idea what might be the cause?
And does anybody have an idea how to get to the bottom of this?

I’m truely puzzled.
