You definitely need to consider the legality, here. Bastian commissioned that illustration specifically for the re-launch of getkirby.com.
Frankly, it seems irresponsible and unprofessional, given the industry you’re in, to use the image without permission.

Just launched a tiny website I designed and built for a small French NGO: http://amitievillages.org/
Nothing fancy technically, a few plugins (Uniform and the fantastic Visual Markdown Editor), and the site is fully responsive.
It’s fast! It’s on a shared hosting and the homepage with the image slider loads in 250 ms. Oh and the cache isn’t even on yet
