I’m returning from a couple amazing days at beyond tellerrand in Berlin. We had a lovely meetup and great conversations throughout the event and I return inspired and with fully recharged creative batteries. Each time, I realise how important such personal events truly are for me personally but also for the web community.
That said, there could be no better time for a special announcement:
In September 2026, we will run our first Kirby Conference!
First??? Well, not really the first. For those of you, who were already around, we already organised one in 2020. Tickets were sold, we had a great venue, hotels were booked and then the first COVID lockdowns started and we had to cancel two weeks before the event. What a bummer! It took us a while to recover from that but now we are back.
We keep it simple for now. There is still some time to figure out the details. But we start today by announcing the days (25-26 September in Mainz, Germany) You can also vote if you’d prefer a one day or a two day conference.

With all the meetups in the last months, we think that the timing is just perfect. The community has grown quite a bit and the energy is great. Now it’s time to bring more people together and we really cannot wait to hang out with you.
