Well, you should at least see the comment @jenstornell posted, otherwise maybe the plugin is not installed correctly, maybe?

Yep. I realized that I had the name of the plugin folder wrong (I think):
The folder name should be kirby-ga rather than ga - is this right?
That is correct, the folder name must be the same as the (main) php file in the folder (kirby-ga), otherwise the plugin is not loaded.
