Kirby as an ecommerce solution?

Hi everyone,

I have a possible client who wants a a eCommerce solution. I’m tempted to show him Kirby or October CMS, but October I’ve never done anything on it, but it seems promising with Shopaholic add-on.

I’m trying to stay away from Woo Commerce and Shopify.

Is there a nice eCommerce for Kirby? I’ve read Snipcart and Merx could be interesting.

My client shouldn’t require much, Direct Transfer and Paypal should be enough.

Kind regards and thank you for your time.

Snipcart is incredibly simple to add to Kirby. It essentially runs of data attributes on the add to cart button which are easily filled out with standard Kirby field methods. Ive built several Kirby stores in Shopify and in Snipcart, and by far the easiest is Snipcart. I cant comment on Merx as I havent used it but there there is another solution…

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it’s really helpful!

I think i’ll be looking into SnipCart as a solution, i’m not a big fan of developing ecommerce websites, but SnipCart since it’s more simple, it could be a great, flexible and simple solution!

Theres actually an official demo using Kirby + Snipcart

The source code is even on Github

Really? I didn’t know that, that’s great…I’ll have a look into it!

Thank you so much for the help!

So, guys, I’m here for some relevant ecommerce recommendations. I’m not really into it, so I’m looking for a specialist or an ecommerce agency that would help me solve my problem. Any recs are appreciated.

Hi @JacobyFields, welcome to the forum :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Well, it depends on what you are looking for specifically, but the Zero One theme is one of the e-commerce solutions, with Snipcart integrated.

You can also check out Merx plugin

Hi,

To add an answer, if what you are looking for is someone that codes an ecommerce site for you using Kirby, you may post here a job ad.

Even snipcart will require some coding to get it going, on top of the Kirby site itself.

Cheers.
