I don’t know if this has been done before or solved, but I searched and didn’t see anything.
I want to be able to re-sort Tags after they have been input into a field from the panel. I guess this will need some sort of java or ajax magicks or something, but I don’t know.

I was rather looking for something where the tags could be sorted manually, like dragged and dropped to reorder like the images can be?
No, unfortunately, manual sorting is not possible with the tags field. If you don’t need the autocompletion feature of the tags field, you could think about using the list field by @timoetting as an alternative.
