In Panel is it possible to add class to certain text

Is it possible to add a class / button to the Panel textarea toolbar – to allow the client to style certain text? I’d like the client to be able to select words in the textarea and then in the toolbar be able to apply a style to them (acronyms and postcodes and style them as ‘small caps’).

Answer is the same as in the thread you linked to: You could use the markdown field instead of the textarea field and add custom buttons: GitHub - fabianmichael/kirby-markdown-field: Super-sophisticated markdown editor for Kirby 3, community built.
