How to activate Cache TTL in .htaccess?

Hello everyone,

I try to solve this issue from google lighthouse:

The Cache TTL should not be “None”. So I put in my normal .htaccess Code. Didn’t work. Then I tried everything I found here in the forum. But nothing worked

That now my .htaccess Code:

Just the code from Kirby installation plus my “Expires headers”. That don’t work.

Can someone say what is wrong with this code?
Or is there something else that can be wrong? Kirby settings maybe.

The Kirby function for activating cache in the config I can’t use because I chance frontend style from JS and cookies and this won’t work together.

Last I should say, I have three different Kirby installations, where I tested. All on different Servers. It works in none of them.

Is mod_expires enable on those servers? Is your server an Apache server?

One of them is an Apache from “hosteurope.de”.
The other one is from “ionos.de”. There I don’t know, but I think it is Apache.

Maybe you have to add the mime types first

Or set the cache-control header on matching files (example taken from below the above link)

I tried this, but then two of my pages have an “Internal Server Error”. On the third, nothing changed.

My problem must be something else, I think.

Where can I see in Plesk, if mod_expires is activated? Websites → Settings for Apache? I don’t see there something like that.

I don’t really have knowledge about that In the past I used Typo3 and there I only had to activate gzip in the .htaccess, the TTL worked automatically.

I would actually expect mod_expires to be installed by default. Don’t know about cPanel, but if you have access to the command line, on Debian based servers you can use the following command

$ apache2ctl -t -D DUMP_MODULES

$ apache2ctl -M

Well, yes, but you haven’t added the types.

Does Cache TTL show None for all sorts of resources? In your screenshot, I see only the fonts, but at the top it says that 19 resources are affected.

Thank you Texnixe, that was it I added the types, and it works.
But on the other two Kirbys this does not work…

I sadly have no access to a command line on the plesk. However, I found these settings. There is no mod_expires, but “cache” and “expires” can one of them be the problem?

The Cache TTL shows None for everything. woff, js, css, webp, jpg, png, svg.

You have to enable expires in that list.
