I think it would make more sense in this case to extend @thguenther’s enhanced textarea field with an image button that lists all images from the content folder that contains the images (similar to how the page button in that custom field works).
Thats a cool idea, and would work for textarea content, but @puppet wanted to use the Gallery field. How would that work with the extended textarea?
Ah, ok, the gallery field, I forgot. Then I would extend the gallery field somehow, so that you could define the page with the images in your blueprints. But I think the gallery field with hundreds or thousands of global images might get pretty messy (same for the textarea extension)
Any chance of central media & file management appearing in Kirby 3?
