Excerpt() doesnt work

Hey Guys,

the excerpt() method, works perfectly fine on my local test installation, but doesn’t output anything on the production server.
Do I need a special php extension for this to work?

No it works out of the box, turn on debug in the config file to see if this is related to something else.

Did you read PHP mbstring extension for proper UTF-8 support?

It may be the difference.
