Easy way to allow Google verification file?

I’m adding my site to Google Webmaster Tools. I’m using the “HTML file upload” method for owner verification. Kirby is sending Google to an error page instead of letting them see the verification file and approve my ownership. Is there an easy way to get around this?

What do you get if you manually access http://yourdomain.com/googleyourid.html? You can debug it this way. Make sure that the file actually exists in the root of your site.

Thanks Lukas! That trick helped me find the problem. So are all *.html files accessible by default on a Kirby site?

The default Kirby .htaccess allows access to any existing file.

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out!
