Duplicated pages with copy files enabled still links to original files

In the panel, when duplicating a page with “copy files” option enabled, files are indeed copied but the page content still refers to the file UUIDs of the original page and not the ones copied over to the new page. I must say, a very confusing experience and quite messy to amend afterwards. Is this a bug or expected behavior?

I posted an issue a little while ago, before I saw your post here. Good to see that it is known and a fix is underway.
