Choosing parent page in page creation dialog

Hello there!

I’m wondering whether it would be possible to choose a specific parent page for a new page in the page creation dialog.
My ideal workflow would be a dropdown above the appendix input with all the child pages of the current one.
The new page then becomes a child of the page I selected here.

Any ideas very much appreciated!

This is not possible, at least not out of the box. You would have to overwrite the create dialog component and the corresponding logic.
