Adding or Removing Images from Tim Ötting's Gallery removes Text

Hi,

I have Tim Ötting’s Kirby Gallery installed but have an issue with it: always when changing something in the gallery my text (kirbytext) gets removed. All other information in my yml stays. Anybody know where to find the issue?

Could you please provide steps how to reproduce this?

  1. Add Text to a page (field is named “story” in the blueprint)
  2. Choose images in the Kirby Gallery (named “pictures”)
  3. Save.
  4. Text from “story” is gone.

Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce this.

  • What is your Kirby version?
  • Single or multi-language Kirby installation?
  • PHP version?
  • What other plugins have you installed?

  • PHP-Version 5.6.30
  • No other plugins

At first I thought there was a duplicate language yml that gets in conflict so I deleted all but one *.de.txt

Could you update to 2.5.12 and check if the problem persists. I tried with Kirby 2.5.12 Langkit and cannot reproduce this.

Do you have different blueprints per language? blog.de.yml/blog.en.yml? That doesn’t make sense.

Updated to Kirby 2.5.12 - issue still there.

It seems to be an issue with the length of my text… If I just enter a word or just a few sentences it keeps it.

Hm, I tried with long text and still the text does not disappear but all of a sudden, the gallery field did strange things like showing multiplied images. Maybe you can use a different gallery plugin instead, try this one:

Until now, my experience with that plugin has been good.

@julienlux Have you tried to use the other plugin and did it solve your issue?

Yes, I have tried the plugin you suggested and it works fine (I just preferred the UX of the other one). Thanks!
