Kirby 2.5.11 - Working locally, but when I get to my live control panel, I can’t see the login just this:

touch(): Utime failed: Permission denied
Try again or contact your administrator.

I’ve tried fixing this with 660 as permissions on the .logins file as mentioned in other threads, but it’s still not working. The user is set to my FTP account and I can’t think of anything else to try.

Have you tried to delete that file?

Is the FTP account your Apache user?

And what about the content folder? Who’s the owner of that? What are the permissions set to?

I didn’t know deleting it was a solution, but now that you suggest it I feel pretty dumb. Thank you for the help anyway!

In case anyone comes on this same issue, for completeness:

  • FTP user is apache user.
  • Same owner for content folder, permissions set to 777.

Try to set your permission to 755 instead of 777 if you can.
