Visualize Multi-Row Elements with Layout Field in Panel

Hello,

I made a simple 2 column css grid layout for portrait and landscape images:

  • Landscape images span 1 grid-row
  • Portrait images span 2 grid rows

This creates sort of vertical brick pattern if editors were to use multiple portrait images after each other. Like so, for example:

Is there a way to represent these portrait images spanning over multiple rows visually in the panel using the layout field, so that editors don’t have to abstract so much?

From what I read in the docs it seems to be mainly focused on columns?

Or perhaps use the preview option for the page: Preview your changes

Thx and yes. As I said in my question as well. I want to use the layout field. But i see nothing that addresses a multi-row setup like mine or even any form of addressing multi-row elements.
