just upgraded to php 7 - same problem. Running kirby 2.5.9 RC-1

There is an RC-2 release of Kirby which rolled back an issue with the SimpleImage library. You might want to give that version a try.

After a couple hickups with the last RC for 2.5.9, we decided to roll back the updates to the SimpleImage library and to release another RC before 2.5.9 will be launched. Please help us test this once more, so we can make sure that 2.5.9 will be really stable.
