Replace items with the same filename

Hello,
As you all probably now, when uploading an asset in a ‘files’ field with the same name as an existing one, it gives an error alerting about that.

What I’ve been doing is to simply re-name the file and upload it again; but this results in lot of unnecessary content.

Is there a way to remove this logic and let the files be override when having the same filename?

Wouldn’t it in this case make more sense to go to the file view and replace the file?

Yes that would work, thanks!
But I assume there’s no way to do that in bulk – like I upload 5 images hoping for them to be replacing the old ones?
