Remove numbers for blog posts toggle

Hello,
I’m building my first blog using baseblog and the (hopefully) last thing I would really want to change is the toggle on the making the post visible.
Now it looks lie this:

And I would like to have it just visible/invisible because with growing number of posts the drop-down is going to be really impractical. I tried just removing that array from the toggle.php but of course I just broke it.

Help? Please?

You could switch to using the date for numbering instead of numbers, then you don’t have that problem.
