Refresh / Show latest content change in Panel after Hook

I have a couple site.update hooks running in the background which update the content which is also used by the hook.

e.g.

  • toggle to activate the hook
  • date field which gets updated

so after the hook has run successfully the actual update will only be shown after i refresh the page. Is there the possiblity to force the panel to refresh the current panel-display after a hook has run?

the only easy solution i know of is adding a panel button from the janitor plugin, as it has a reload option.
