I used a Kirby theme based on UIKIT for my present website. However, that theme has been discontinued and Kirby has updated from 3x to 4.
This time and for future websites I would love to take advantage of the simplicity of Kirby 4 Starterkit and its CSS/ JS Environment.
Question: is the CSS of the Starterkit based on a framework (e.g. Bulma, Tailwind ) or is it acustom developed CSS?
Thanks in advance!
Nedim
It’s custom CSS, no framework. Note that the Starterkit is not a full-fledged theme, it is more a learning resource that is reduced to what is necessary for the purpose. So that means: there are only styles for stuff that is in the kit and if you want to extend anything, you need to add your own styles.
If you still like the theme, it doesn’t mean you have to throw it away. If it still works, fine. If it doesn’t, it might not be difficult to adapt it to make it work with Kirby 4 (depends on the theme of course)
Thanks texnixe for the prompt reply!
I will see if I can make the old theme work with Kirby 4. But I doubt it.
I wil inform.
